Sci-fi and fantasy novels

* Beast Realms trilogy (2020-2021, Portal Books)

Set inside a video game in which players take on animalistic avatars, this LitRPG trilogy follows the adventures of Art (a lizard man with a magical hammer) and Nails (his enemy-consuming bug companion) as they seek the gems of power and try to prevent sinister powers from consuming the world.

When 70-something widow Dot wins the lottery, she doesn't know what to do with the money. That is, until she meets young offender Max (17) and they decide to complete her bucket list together. 

Graphic novels

* The Wilds (2021, Tapsalteerie)

The Wilds is a poetry comic for teen and adult readers, about loss. Struggling with the death of a parent, a teenage girl runs away from home and escapes into a fantastical Scottish wilderness. She encounters an otherworldly bear who teaches her to survive in the natural world, fight the darkness that stalks her, and process her grief. Made with support from Creative Scotland and Child Bereavement UK. 

Short stories

I have published dozens of short stories in books and magazines. These include kids stories for Disney's "Animal World" book series, in literary journals and collections such as Scotland in Space.
